Government shows support for Bourke Street Victims

The Andrews Government has shown its clear intention to support those who have suffered from the events on Bourke Street on Friday 20th January.

Support and loss of income compensation is available to anyone who is suffering or has lost income following the events either due to physical injury or witnessing the crime.

If you were on a lunch break at work you are entitled to benefits from WorkSafe. Otherwise you will be entitled to benefits from the TAC.

Further, there will be many victims of crime from witnessing the events. Claims will be available to the Victims of Crime Assistance Tribunal (VOCAT).
